Jan 2020 - Published in the Gazette the proposed road works and sewerage works under Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area Advance Works Phase 2 and Stage 1 Works authorised by the Chief Executive in Council according to statute.

Dec 2019 - Panel on Development of Legislative Council supported the submission of funding application of the following items to Public Works Subcommittee of Legislative Council for consideration.

Stage 1 public consultation period of Feasibility Study on Environmentally Friendly Transport Services in Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area and Adjacent Areas has been extended to 14 January 2020. A public forum will be held at Tin Yiu Community Centre, Tin Yiu Estate, Tin Shui Wai, Yuen Long from 10:30am to 1pm on 4 January 2020 (Saturday).

Oct 2019 - Stage 1 public consultation period of the Feasibility Study on Environmentally Friendly Transport Services in Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area and Adjacent Areas has been extended for a month to 31 December 2019 to allow the public more time to consider the study findings and express their views.

The Civil Engineering and Development Department launched the Stage 1 Public Consultation exercise for the Feasibility Study on Environmentally Friendly Transport Services in Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area and Adjacent Areas. Details of the consultation activities and public consultation digest are available on the Study website(www.hskefts.hk).

Dec 2018 - The Government gazetted the proposed road works and sewerage works under Hung Shui Kiu New Development Area Advance Works Phase 2 and Stage 1 Works.

Oct 2018 - The approved Hung Shui Kiu and Ha Tsuen Outline Zoning Plan No. S/HSK/2 was exhibited for public inspection under Section 9(5) of the Town Planning Ordinance.

Jul 2018 - The Finance Committee of the Legislative Council approved the Special ex-gratia cash allowance for the Hung Shui Kiu New Development Area Project, and general ex-gratia allowances and domestic removal allowance.

May 2018 - Proposed enhancements to the general ex-gratia compensation and rehousing arrangements for Government’s development clearance exercises announced.

May 2017 - Draft Hung Shui Kiu and Ha Tsuen Outline Zoning Plan No. S/HSK/1 was exhibited for public inspection.

Consultancy Studies

Land Use Review Study for Lau Fau Shan, Tsim Bei Tsui and Pak Nai Areas
In response to the recommendations of the "Northern Metropolis Development Strategy", the Planning Department and CEDD are studying the feasibility to develop Lau Fau Shan, Tsim Bei Tsui and Pak Nai areas as expansion of the Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area.

This Study reviews the land uses in Lau Fau Shan, Tsim Bei Tsui and Pak Nai areas, with a view to formulating a Preliminary Outline Development Plan for these areas.

Green Transit System (GTS) (More)
Connects various development nodes within the NDA, Yuen Long South Development, and public transport interchanges providing rapid transport services and promoting green mobility. It will also provide convenient interchanges with other public transports, such as the Tuen Ma Line, Light Rail, and etc.

Fostering a pedestrian and bicycle friendly environment
Recommends options to enhance the pedestrian and bicycle friendly environment for the footpath and cycle track networks in the relevant Outline Development Plans.

Urban and Green Design
Provides guidelines of urban and greening design for the future town centre of HSK/HT NDA, local commercial centre and the revitalized riverside promenade of Tin Shui Wai River.

River Revitalisation and Flood Attenuation Facilities<
Deepens the content of river revitalization in the “Planning and engineering study of HSKNDA – investigation” completed by the Civil Engineering and Development Department and Planning Department previously.
